On a website, you should look for the lock with an HTTPS symbol near the search
bar; if it only says HTTP, then your data is not encrypted.
By default, HTTPS-only mode is not enabled in your browser.
Turning it on is very simple in most browsers.
For example: In Firefox, navigate to settings in privacy & security.
Scroll to HTTPS-ONLY mode and select enable.
If you attempt to connect to an non-secure site,
you will now land on a warning page.
